The Directors, Trustees, Staff and members of the Foundation attended the Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement and Presentation of Visayas Scholars for School Year 2015-2016. This is, what the foundation considers one of the most important annual events of the SUNLAD Foundation since it is the event where the new batch of scholars be formally inducted to the organization.
Held on June 20 at The Function Rooms of The Diversion Hotel, Iloillo, the event was attended by prominent figures from the Academe from University of San Agustin and UP Visayas such as Dr. Nenita Villanueva, Director of Guidance Services of The University of San Agustin, Mr. Ruben Gumala, the Director of the Office of Student Affairs of The University of the Philippines Visayas, Dr. Emilia S. Yap who is the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of The University of the Philippines Visayas and Rev. Fr. Jack Williener representing Very Rev. Fr. Frederick C. Comendador, President of The University of San Agustin. Also in attendance were various Faculty members and Deans from the respective schools. The 13 new scholars for Batch 2015-2016, accompanied by their parents/guardian formally signed their Memorandum of Agreement with the foundation and took their pledges as they were officially presented as this year’s new batch of SUNLAD scholars. After the program, lunch was served to the guest.
This event marks a very special milestone to the SUNLAD Foundation as it is officially growing and providing financial assistance to more students as they pursue their goals of attaining a college degree.
